Fitness does not have to conform. Fitness training does not have to conform. Define what fitness means to you and work toward that goal, one step at a time. Then take a second to note your progress, give a little pat on the back and continue in the journey.
Don't make fun of other people because they do not conform to your idea of fitness. Do not think that every exercise does not have a place in ANY regime, because they all do. Once you learn how to apply them to your parameters, you will break through boring plateuas and training will be fun again.
Take it from someone who has been there, done that.
